doesnt want to go into gear
I have a 2001 Z28 and im pretty sure the tranny is stock. I put a new kentucky clutch in about 2000 miles ago so it should be good. The problem is when im sitting at idle in neutral, I have to slam it in first gear and the car kind of jerks a little bit when i do. Once i get rolling it starts going a little bit smoother when i rev-match. If im driving rather spirited it starts giving me problems again. Im thinking and hoping its the clutch master cylinder so ill probably go with a tick. But could there be anything else causing this problem.

The first thing I'd do is the easiest thing: make sure the clutch is fully disengaging. An improperly disengaging clutch will always be tough to engage first or reverse with.
A good read on hydraulic shortcomings is here: http://www.tick-performance.com/imag...kshiftfaq.html
