personal opinions: how difficult was your t56 rebuild
I've seen some very detailed rebuild threads, but how difficult was it for you to tackle the rebuild in your garage? I've got the winter to do it and I'm debating on giving it a shot.

Not super difficult but also not something I would recommend unless you are pretty mechanically inclined. Over the years I have seen people do them on their own with good results but I've also seen a lot that ended up worse off after a rebuild than before it was touched.

Depends on what you've done before.
First off, read the downloadable rebuild guide from TTC in depth.
Then go back and look at those threads.
If it makes sense to you and you know what "set everything aside in the order removed" and "installation is the reverse of removal" mean, then you may want to try and tackle it.

Sounds like I might give it a shot. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and luckily for me I have a guy around who's experienced and can help me if I have any questions.
