car scene is pretty big... last I knew the cops have been cracking down pretty hard though...
there's a car club for just about every make and model of car, and some of the meets can be pretty good.
check it out, lots of the local faster street cars are on there.

I was at hood for a while... car scene is pretty big and ranges from real muscle to some total fuckin rice-tards. Belton lake is awesome in the summer...

ya i cant wait to get there... get to be close to home for the first time in 7 yrs. anyone been to the local 1/4 track there?
11-05-2011, 11:08 PM
glad to see you on the other site, yes the local track... its got some perks (cheap) but the prep isn't the best I've ever seen and it's kind of back woodsy.

ya i figured id jump on there and check it out. and i saw pics of that track on their site.... looks like its literally in the woods haha.... but they had some fast pro mod cars running so i figured it couldnt be that bad of a track

it isn't that bad to be honest... they changed management and owners i think so it might have gotten better than what it was when i first got to hood.
the best 60' i could manage before i deployed was a 2.2.... but it's cheap like 20 bucks to race all night, they have bracket and grudge races along with other fun things like ford vs chev vs import... and it's fairly close, within about 30 mins anywhere around hood.

was that with street tires on though? ill be running DR's at least.... so i should get some traction..... ill also lay the smack down on some mustangs that think they are fast haha

street tires and DR's
got some slicks now though, along with a few other mods.

also as a side note, when you change your insurance over to your new address.... tell them you live in copperas cove.. lol i moved from cove to right behind the airfield gate and my insurance went up 25$ a month cause Ft hood was a high traffic area....it was 9 miles down the road. just fyi...

i have my insurance in Bellville, tx which is my home of record.... its cheap cause its only population 4000 :)
