car scene is pretty big... last I knew the cops have been cracking down pretty hard though...
there's a car club for just about every make and model of car, and some of the meets can be pretty good.

it isn't that bad to be honest... they changed management and owners i think so it might have gotten better than what it was when i first got to hood.
the best 60' i could manage before i deployed was a 2.2.... but it's cheap like 20 bucks to race all night, they have bracket and grudge races along with other fun things like ford vs chev vs import... and it's fairly close, within about 30 mins anywhere around hood.

also as a side note, when you change your insurance over to your new address.... tell them you live in copperas cove.. lol i moved from cove to right behind the airfield gate and my insurance went up 25$ a month cause Ft hood was a high traffic area....it was 9 miles down the road. just fyi...
