Wheel Spacers to fix a problem?
I've done a search and can't seem to find anything...
I bought aftermarket Chevy Lumina SS wheels (you might know it as the GTO? I'm in the Middle East) for '98 Z. They look great but never really fitted/balanced properly. When I take them off for cleaning, I notice that the centre of the wheel (the hole that goes over the lip on the hub??) seems to be getting rubbed. I can actually remember at the time I bought them, the guy said he had to machine the center hole bigger to fit over the hub of the Camaro.
Anyway, I then found info on 'hub centric' which I still don't really fully understand, and thought to myself - there is no way these wheels, especially after machining, are properly fitted to my Camaro. My first thought was trying to find some other wheels but then I found the below, what do you think?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RPM-HR786710/
I was also thinkning about getting some spacers while i'm at it. I don't have clearance issues but would like, a) the wheels to fit a bit better, and b) about 1/2 inch wider at rear and 1/4 inch wider at front.
Any help appreciated!
