Default Need a little guidance on a cam swap

Hello, im buying a used comp 228/224 .588/.588 on 112lsa along with comp 7.4 pushrods..i want to go ahead and upgrade stuff while its all apart. I was thinking, ported LS6 oil pump, ls2 timing chain but I have no clue what springs to get!! If someone can help me out on the springs pump and chain/sprockets that would be sweet!!

I would recommend a Pac 1218 valvespring for this particular cam setup. The Pac 1218 has been proven to be a very reliable single spring and is rated for cams up to .600 lift. I also believe your on the right track about swapping for the ported ls6 pump, and an ls2 chain to compliment your cam swap. We carry all of these products. Feel free to give us a call!

alright thank you! I was planning on ordering all my stuff from y'all. and do y'all sell valve spring compressors and any kind of lifter holding tool so they don't fall?

We do sell spring compressor tools, and we have a couple different methods for keeping the lifters up in the bores. Let me know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Hey for the lifter holding tool: you'll have to search for the exact size (5/16" maybe?) but a 2-foot piece of dowel works perfectly instead of paying $$$ for the actual tool that you'll probably only use once or twice.
