Default Best drag radial for LS6 Cobra kit car

I have decided to just run a good drag radial on the wife's LS6 Cobra all the time. It is never driven in the rain or cold weather (no top) so i figured why not just run some good sticky tires on it and keep her out of "sideways trouble". It needs a 255/55/16 or there abouts. She wants to keep the 16" rims so I am stuck on that size. I use the NT05R on the ZO6 and love them but they do not make that 16" size. I have narrowed it down to the M/T, Hoosiers or the new Goodyears. I have the M/T on the Turbo trans am and they are great but would the Goodyears or Hoosiers be better?
I have a crate LS6 with a comp XR281HR cam and a PTC 3200 stall converter. The car weighs 2350 pounds. So what would be the best tire to keep on the car to hook it up on the street out of the three that I mentioned? I would like to try the Goodyears just for fun but have not heard any good or bad about them yet.
Thanks in advance.
