looking to find out what pan to use, and motor mounts, and how far back the motor sits .. some picks would be nice, would like to know how much room there is between the firewall and heads..

I used the S&P motor mount adapters and their modified pan in my 64. My project is on hold for a little while, but here are a couple pictures.

What exhaust manifold did you use for the driver side. I am working on a 65 chevelle.

Thanks

I used the Holley pan on my 65 Cutlass (same platform)My motor may be set a little higher in front as there is 1/2" clearance between tie rods ends and pan at full lock. Made my own mounts, built my own acc. brackets using GTO PS pump and alt and moved the a/c to upper pass. side (sandin compressor).4L60e trans needed a little tunnel reshaping but nothing serious. Still working on exhaust but have a pair of 2010 Camaro manifolds that look promissing. The early A body seems to be a tighter fit for these swaps than the more pleniful 68 up's. Pan clearance and exhaust seem to be the real problem areas. Good luck, it's a fun project.

1965 Chevelle Here

Stock LQ4 with 4L80E

LH8 Oil Pan Kit
BRP Mount Kit
Drivers Side Manifold: LS1 F-Body
Passengers Side Manifold: Stock LQ4

no problems(except the brp motor mounts were labeled wrong[killed an hour or so of time if not more]

I made my own engine mounts, BRP mid headers, my own trans mount for turbo 400/gearvenders, S&P pan, made my own AC mount using corvette drive, now everything drives off one belt, did not have to notch xmember for AC compresser clearence. car is in my storage area so no pics, been working on other cars too much I think...
