Default Help newbie, id this tb and intake 90mm

so i just spent 20 min writing and uploading pics and then is said i wasn't logged in, short and sweet this time. i have a stock 2000 ss. saw cl ad, went to pick up and its a car lot w/ some parts cars in back, bmr boxed cont arms look good pick up a few other things then start talking w/ a worker. he says the blue ss was "built". moser 12 bolt, cammed motor, elect cutouts, 5.0 pro shifter, all that was sold except the tb and intake. so im new to ls1's but im hoping its an ls6 intake. i first notice the billet tb and its big and i notice the intake is a different shape than whats on my car. no pt numbers on the tb or the intake, but the injectors and fuel rail numbers are the same as whats on my car. because there where no pt numbers or manufatures name the owner and i settled on $300. so i get home and take them apart, tb measures 90mm and after some internet research im hoping the intake is "fast" the bottom is smooth and the webbing at the bolt holes looks the same but the name isn't on top unless it was smoothed off and painted but thats a strech. anyway did i do good or is this one of those hard learned lessons. i have more pics and ask away for more info

The fast logo has been shaved and intake painted. You can also see the locators on the bottom for burst panels

I hope its a fast would a 90mm TB bolt up to an ls6 intake? It looks like a date stamp inside the intake 05/05. Did FAST ever not have there name on top

Any guesses on the TB. Not alot to go off of. Thanks for the replies keep them coming

The TB look like a fast as well. 90mm first design made by Wilson. Unscrew the adjuster all the way, open it wot and let it snap shut. See if it sticks closed lol

Unless you can find some sort of identification #s on the tb it will be hard to ID. But it does appear to be aftermarket, the stock ones usually have rough discolored exterior, this one is smooth and relatively shiny on the outside.

This is a stock one, doesn't look much like yours

Looks like a FAST 90/90 setup to me. The FAST logo has been shaved off and the intake was painted black. The EGR port is blocked off from FAST but someone must of drilled it out to use the EGR. FAST intake have intake port seals are oval on the top. OEM LS1/LS6 intake port seals are square. If you look at it the top shell is bolted to the bottom shell. OEM intakes are one molded piece. You got a good deal.

thanks for the info. since there are no pt numbers im just asking for everyones opinions on what it might be, sounds like the verdict is a "fast" but if nothing else its definately an aftermarket 90/90. thanks

That 3rd pic just screams FAST, and I'd imagine it's a matching FAST 90mm tb. At first I was thinking LS3 intake but, the intake tubes look too tall to be a LS3 I think, and usually a factory intake has a PN. Either way, you got a good deal on a 90mm intake and a 90mm tb.

Looks like a FAST 90 or 92 maybe. Looks like someon shaved the "fast" and "wilson" off of the first 2 humps on the top shell. And that TB looks like a nick williams.

Here is a pic of my NW 90mm TB on my FAST 90: (my fast is shaved off the first hump too)

That's a FAST intake... U can tell by 1) the huge humps 2) u can take the intake apart 3) the front opening has a 4bolt design for a 90+mm TB... The real question is whether it's a 90mm or a 92mm.... Measure it and find out...
