Default Street Cam Choice...Opinions Needed

Just picked up a 5.3L out of a 2003 Suburban to put in my 66. Can you guys recommend a good cam for a street car...possibly daily driver? I have a 4l60e transmission. The only changes that will be made is running a Victor Jr. intake and a Holley 750-cfm carb. Thanks for any suggestions!

Cool combo. Do you plan on running a stall? The Victor Jr with a carb will favor a cam biased more toward mid-range and top end power. Expect a narrower LSA and more overlap from the proper cam. The increased idle speed required for an optimized setup will most likely require at least a 2500 stall, but preferably 3000 rpm or higher.

If need be I will run a stall. Just want this to be a DD friendly car with a good cam lope.

most guys on this forum will tell you driving a 2500-3000 stall will be completely dd worthy. I dd a 3600 and its still good for dd. plus it makes the car so much more fun

A 110 or 111 LSA should get you the idle you want.
