If you want a nice forged piston for not a lot of cash call AutoTec Pistons, a company formed by the former owner of JE Pistons. They are making me a forged dome piston for a 408. It's going to be 13.5:1 with a non-metric ring stack. Mine is going to use a 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 ring set, more affordable in a race ring and should give more oil control than the thin metric stack. The RaceTec pistons can get a little pricy, but the AutoTecs are very affordable. The tech I spoke with acted like it was no big deal to custom build my piston. If you order from them please tell them you heard about them from Sweeten's Performance Machining in Oklahoma.

Hey Matt, what about customs? I will be needing a set of 4.165 slugs. The best price I've found is $700 for Wisco; they're not a sponsor so I don't want to mention their shop name. If it can be matched or beat by someone here, I'd rather go the sponsor route.

Depends on how "custom" they are. Shoot me a PM with what you need and I will get a quote. My guess is that for $700, it will be a shelf stock part number, not custom. Our average cost on a set of custom Wiseco's is over $1000.

I have the sheet that Vic from Wiseco wrote up for me, but it's not 100%; he just put it together for me to price the pistons - but it's not far off, I just need to know the final cc of the pistons really.
I'll PM you the spec sheet.
