Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - Windshield trim/weather stripping

ok i was driving and the rh side flies off into the passenger seat. I wanna know what the replacement for that is? Is there a part number or something? Also what does a 2000 ttop ta trim look like to a 01-02 ttop ta? i wanna see if they changed the style or if the previous owner bought a universal kit?

that is an aftermarket piece of trim.. it has no metal tabs that go between the pillar and glass like the factory one does.. your best bet is to just glue it back on.. clean out all the tar shit from the groove of the trim and around the edge of the glass... there should be a 2-2.5" bead so you have some room to work.. clean both surfaces and use your choice of epoxy to reglue it. Try to find some black shit to match. My car had this problem when I brought it home... I ended up having my glass replaces later on but the trim stayed in place for the month I drove it like that... Clear epoxy will work too I guess..

youre welcome.. make sure you dont use a petro based cleaner... wd40 pb blaster or any other slick stuff.. if you do, make sure to clean it with a solvent so the epoxy (or whatever you use) has something to stick to... put the glue in the track, and on the glass. push it into place and use lots of tape across the window glass to the windshield to hold it into place.. leave it like that for as long as you can cause its cold out. Curing will take longer than normal...when youre done, trim off the excess ooze with a sharp razor...
