Default what cam for a 414

im in the process of building a 414 in ls1 .4.060 bore 4.00 stroke. its going in a 3600# car with an automatic and a 3600 stall conv. 342 gears and a 26 inch tire.compression is 11.5 to 1 and heads flow 327 in 235ex at 600. 2.08 in and 1.60 ex valves. i looking to make as much power n/a as possible and use a small amount of nitrious to compensate for a poor intake manifold(zo6). im looking to run 9.90 s.i spoke to comp cams and they recommend a 238/246 duration 605/612 lift 114 lobe sep. installed 2deg adv. cam #37/29 / 37/33 hr 114+2.any ideas on if this cam is the best choise or if someone has a better idea?

Try shooting one of the sponsors a PM. They have several cams that big shoved into 346's so a 414 should be able to handle them with no problem. If you have no piston to valve interference issues then I would say any cam that fits should about do it. You did say you were looking at making as much N/A power as possible.

I would go right to ALAN FUTRAL tell him your goals and what you want out of your 414 and let him suggest and custom grind you a kick *** FMS custom cam for that bad boy LS1 414 motor!

I've got a 414 in a 3600 lb car, but my blower cam might not be best for you.
