will rear mount set up have less power than na at low rpms?
considering a rear mount and likely cheap out all the way around and go with ebay stuff.
my question, does a rear mount set up have less power at first then the engine would have had NA? lets say you punch it from idle, i know the rear mount will have more lag but during this lag period is there actually less power then there would have been NA?
seems like the exhaust restriction wouldn't be too big of a deal with the right cam. i could see in intake restriction being a pretty big deal if there is any.

mine was a nelson tune and im not sayin it was turbo lag i felt im sayin it didnt have the na power it had before like from a 2mph roll hit the gas and there is no power like it had NA like if there was a graph the turbo line PRE oboost would be lower than post boost.

From what I've seen , I would say that n/a power is reduce w/ a rear mount
My friends sts car would literally suck in the sillicone 90 at his tb, which leads me to believe that there is a great deal of intake restriction untill boost is made
Although this theory can be tested fairly easy , put a vacuum gauge pre throttle body on both front a front and rear mount system and see what kinda results you have

got it running with the rear mount china made 76. i can feel no loss of pre boost power. i have a ~3000 stall and 390 gear so i am sure that helps. car is zippy and fun just like it was but by 3500rpm it is flat out hauling ***.
i can do a rolling brake boost and hold the boost anywhere i want. then when i let it go it is like a hammer hitting. feels like a 200shot when i let it go.
i haven't tried much of a launch since with street tires and no boost it just lights them up. need to get some new drag radials.
