Default Newb to nitrous... How much can i spray.

Well I have a motor built for boost. It is an lq4 block with compstar crank compstar rods diamond pistons, Il have 9.6-1 compression. Stock t-56, stock 10 bolt. I was thinking about getting a cheap nitrous setup to run on my engine in the mean time till I can afford a turbo kit. I'm not looking to use any nitrous of the line for the sake of my pour 10 bolt lol. So how much would you guys spray?

Default Spray

I would say you could spray 200 comfortably and the motor will love it with that compression ratio.....u start spraying 300 say bye bye to your clutch and 10bolt and T-56 and other things tooooooo....headgaskets are good I assume......

I would need alittle more specifics on the pistons, ring gap,etc to tell you an exact amount but I think its safe to say you can easily spray 200 maybe 250. Depending on the rest of the motor build maybe more. You will deffintly need to concentrate on the week points in the rest of the car so it can handle the power.

Pistons are Diamond Piston Skirts are moly coated rings are NPR gas nitrided steel top ring, same rings wiseco sells as their GFX 2nd ring napier cut ductile iron
And my pistons are custome made so they have a thicker top ring land then average so they can absorb heat and detonation better. Not sure if that helps at all. Btw my cam will be a 234/234 .595/.595 on a 112 lsa. Not sure if cams play a big part in nitrous but I got the cam so it would work well N/A and turbo. Didn't spec it for nitrous.

You will be good for around 200 to 250. I would not spray more than that.
