I have an Ultimate Converter, its dead on for my setup. My buddy had one with the turbo that's on my car now, & a GT4780 and it worked great. He went to a GT5588 with the same converter, it was way to tight for that huge exhaust wheel, should have been re-stalled but he didnt. Brian Medlock recommended PTC and he tried one of theirs. It's a throw down race converter, he's got dual rear calipers & can spool it to 22# @ 6500 before it pushes through the foot break. The down side it that it heats up the trans too much to drive on the street anymore. Probably has to be that loose to spool a big turbine wheel with 347ci to be honest.

I run a yank for about 100+ miles now. Its really tight kinda annoying. MY tuner said he hasnt been to happy with them lately they are all a little tight. I think mine is more than a little. Just FYI

PTC has a wind it up high and loose philosophy and then uses high rpm's down track to make up for lost efficiency down low. If you know how a converter really works you'll understand that part.
Some converter companies like Chance like them really really tight and want you to throw as much power at them as possible to get them up on the converter.
That being said I personally loved my FTI stall. Greg is a great builder and actually listens instead of telling you what he thinks.
PTC, FTI, UCC(Lenny is local to me and is a GREAT guy) and Joe at protorque(not to be confused with Precision ala PTC) is a good one also.
