When I installed my headers, I had a friend put in the bolts and the locking tabs. So I have no idea how they were put on, let alone how to get them off. Can anyone help me out, give some pointers? Just need to know how to take them off?

You can use a small pair of needle nose pliers to pull out the "c" clip, and the lock should just pull right off. Once the lock is off, you will have access to the bolt hex-head.
