Default Solar Screens

Anyone had solar screens installed on there house and have a good company to recommend? Did it help with cooling the house in the summer?

I made some for my house, and yes they did help with the electric bill in the summer. House got colder sooner,

I have them on the back of my house and they lowered my bill by about $30 a month in the summer

How hard are these to make? I have been wanting to do this but didnt want to pay a contractor to come in and install these.

They're not hard, I think Ace Hardware still makes them honestly. They do work, we have them on almost every window at our house.

Will need a miter saw
Saw horses
3/4 4x8 plywood(table)
Spline roller tool
Cordless drill

Material
Aluminum frame material
Screen material
Spline
Plastic 90• Corner inserts
pan head screws

Its not hard to build em, just gotta take your time to make them correct.
Keep them from bowing when being built on the table

I used to work for a company here in DFW that did estimates, built, and installed solar screens. They work wonders. Like already stated, they aren't hard to build at all. However, the company I used to work for has a shop in Houston if you are interested. If so, PM me, and I will give you their name.
