Street Racing & Kill Stories - KB/N2O Cobra vs H/C/I Z28 vs 408 SS

A few things to mention beforehand:
1- it was 22* out at the time of the night video, low 30s for the daylight racing :lol:
2- Cobra apparently made 700+rwhp
3- Cobra also has a SRA

Yeah, Brad had a full car vs Marler having 1 passenger though. :lol: What's funny is that when you listen to brad do the burnout in the pimp juice, it's sticky...but the last time PImp Juicewas laid in that spot was over a week ago. Since then, it's been rained, snowed, and salted on...yet all it took was a burnout to get sticky again. :lol:

I heard the cobra also had 28" drag radials... Pretty sad for how bad the traction off the line was, had a solid axle too. Not saying it's slow but it definitely performed pretty bad for what it had done to it. At least in the low end.

Good runs.. Cobra was unimpressive.

The z28 60' a 1.42. so don't get to down on the cobras launch...also I was wanting to spray when I saw him starting to catch up....but I still had a 150mile drive home...no reason to rish it...I think I was going 130-135ish when he pulled around me...my motor was at 7K+

even a small 35 shot can cool a kenne bell off enough to make 60 hp...heat kills those things and nitrous being cold really helps out..even small shots...

Both F bodies were strong runners. The H/C Z tho was really impressive. The Cobra, ehhh not so much. Great video btw

I second this. In the summer my car dead hooks all the time, but when the temps drop into the 30's or below there are times I'm going sideways at 40-50 mph, with far less power.

I thought the same. I guess that 408 rolls out or we have to go from saying "your 4.6 needs a power adder" to "your 4.6 needs 2 power adders"

Basically, it's just to keep it cool since that blower creates some heat. Said they gained like 50rwhp off of it, probably more torque.

To be fair, the Camaro does trap 127 on motor. With as slow as the Cobra shifted, it was going to be tough for him to reel him in quickly.

Ryans car does need a taller tire for sure should have seen my car with those wheels and tires and 4.56 haha =worthless. And The Heads cam car is in my eyes a nice and simple set up and works, Like stated above it did trap 127 mph that should give you a idea on how it runs.

It's kind of hard to see the tires on the Cobra but it almost looks like he didn't leave hard enough vs not having traction. And I'm not surprised that a vehicle Brad put together moves out. Good video once again Sean.

Trust me, you won't be. Lay it down, do a burnout in it and keep rolling it forward to extend the line out (it will lay it out pretty far if you keep the tires spinning). If you just do a burnout in the same spot, it will only prep that little spot, so you want to roll it out. Make sure you launch from the same spot you did the burnout in (duh), and the more burnouts the stickier it gets. Some people have bogged because they weren't leaving from a high enough rpm, and stuck too good. :lol:

The new car I'm buying still on the ol' 10 bolt. :/ No PJ for me for a while...My Z28 blew up the 10 bolt on the street BONE STOCK, with 245 street tires, and it wasn't even from a dig. :bang: Once I get a rear under it, I'll definitely have to get that on there!

You serious? Shit works, and if you look around the internet, there are cars with WAYYYY more hp hooking up on the stuff. I figured the wheel pull/ my buddy walking on it would satisfy most people, as well as semi-hooking a car doing a 6k clutch dump on a 150 shot out the gate...all that in cold weather. Can't wait til we get our hot summer days and nights to really get the shit sticky. I mean, people have already bogged from hooking too good, what will happen when it gets hot?? :devil:

Just fyi. Pimp juice works great. But we have a prime peice of concrete. It works on asphalt but not as well, Not the products fault just the surface. Also its sticky as shit but if you cant hook at the track then this probly wont work that great either. But works for me :) set the car up right and you be sticking that booty.

LT1's are slow as hell though. Need to open her up and put on some LE2's or AI 200's and a nice custom cam and ported lt1 intake with 58mm TB (although not 100% necessary)

I still miss my lt1. I think it may have been my first real love lol. Sorry, valentines day always brings that out in my :P
