Auto VS M6
Hey does anyone know 1/4 mile times of auto vs m6 and if the m6 is any better than the auto in terms of acceleration and speed? If you get a shift kit will that help you alot?

Depends on the car, track, weather, and DRIVER! I have seen A4 Ls1 F-bodies go 14.0s and then I have seen them go 12.9; same goes for the M6. Although the M6 is all based on driver skill. Usually the M6 will run a higher mph then the A4. A4s typically run in the 103-108mph range and the M6 typically runs 105-112mph. A shift kit for the A4 will help a bit to firm up the shifts but unless the trans is weak; the LS1 A4s are pretty snappy. My 1998 Z28 A4 will bark 2nd gear and the only mods I have are a Borla exhaust and a K&N air filter. If one has an A4 the BEST mods to get are a stall converter, trans cooler, shift kit, and remove the TQ management via LS1 Edit or a mailorder tuner.

A "weekly" question it seems
