Trouble shifting into 2nd around left turns??!!
So on my 2002 SS I recently noticed while trying to shift from 1st to 2nd while in a left turn its nearly impossible to hit 2nd gear. Once Im straight it has no problem going into 2nd.
Any suggestions??

Dont think so, the skip shift light isnt on when this occurs, plus im not taching the RPMS up super high either. It almost feels like while around the corner the weight transfer of the car effects the shifting pattern.

That does sound odd, but at the same time, skip shift usually happens at lower rpms... if you make the RPMs go higher then it gives up on trying to make you skip and you can go into 2nd. Thats what kinda made me think about it... I figured when turning you might be going easier on the throttle than when you start from a straight line.
Hopefully your post will get some attention now and maybe someone will have an idea on what could be going on.

Okay, I have a better reply now... I asked my husband and he said to check the transmission mount on the drivers side, said something about if its worn the transmission could move during your turn and the shifter could be put in a bind against the tunnel or something and so preventing you from shifting.
