Cool C5 mirrors on a TA

Since I haven't seen anyone else try to copy the concept car that had these, I'm not expecting them to be popular. But, since *I* like 'em, I thought I'd share the pics... You can see the full size pics here:

Nice job on the mirrors (quality)... but to me they look out of place on the TA. Nice car BTW

Not my taste, but well done.
I bet you have better rearward visibility now too since the mirror is a bit further away from the car itself.

I like them, makes the car look a little more refined than the gaudy looking t/a mirrors.

Nice job man.

Very nice. My friend is going to flip when he sees the blue TA.

He has a custom Electron Pearl Blue trans am that he has been wanted to do vette mirros on for a long time--he also wants those fixed headlights and wants to paint the inside of them electron blue as well with a slight smoke over the lenese.

Shane the Car look great!

That's very unique! Don't think I'd do it to my own car, but it looks good on yours...

I am in the process of converting my mirrors also. I had only seen two other cars before this post. Looks great on your car!

Are the mirrors straight interchangeable, or is there any drilling that you have to do to get them to fit on the F-body?

Welcome to last week, MMS did it to their 421 SD car like 4 years ago I'm not bashing, I think it's super and have really wanted to do it to mine since then, but the ones on eBay keep going for damn near $100 each, and I still have to paint them and ****!
Please detail what you had to do. Also, did you get the electrochromatic ones?

Yep, I'm familiar with the MMS421 car - that's the car I mentioned in my first post. I hadn't seen any others since that one (though it seems there is at least one blue one).
I did not get the electrochromatic ones...
I had a custom shop mount them up. Wiring, door bracing, painting, and fabrication to cover the hole from the stock mirror was all taken care of by them.

#41 - no, not easily interchangeable - the 'vette mirrors mount on the door itself, not up in the window corner.

That looks great! I have wanted those done since I first saw it done several years ago!
