What Was Your Reaction when.....?
What was your first reaction when you saw the new body styles of the 98 Firebirds, Camaros, SSs, and WS6s? I remeber seeing the commercial when the TA eats the red car sitting in front of it and my jaw droping with my adrenaline pumping. From that point i wanted one. Hearing that beast rev up even though I have never heard an LS1 sound like that to this day.

There's a post some where on here and a member posted to link to the T/A comercials. The one's you reference about. After I saw the comercial during the Super Bowl i knew I had to have one. Just took a couple years before buying one.

When I saw my first '98, when they went from the
notch headlights to round, I remember thinking,
"****, that looks almost like a Jaguar but it's a ...
Camaro?
Liked it, but waited until there weren't gonna be no
more to hurry up and bag a virgin.

I've never truly liked the styling of the last Camaros, and I didn't feel the changes made helped the any.
The Firebird did improve though, and I fondly remember "The musclecar lives" television commercials GM aired for them.

"After a hard days you, youve just gotta undwind" I didnt like the SS's much at first, but a buddy if mine has one and always has it spotless (Nottin but Zaino!) so he sold me on them. He also has the 35th Anniversary wheels which is a nice touch for the black on black look. I wan to hear more guys!, this is interesting.

I felt the same way about the new dodge ram when it first came out too. But it didn't take me long at all to figure out that that is what a real truck should look like. It became the most sought after truck at that point. I bought a new forest green 99 Ram Sport 4x4 when I traded in my 95 Z.
Now I traded it back in on my SS!

dont look at me....i had a mustang until 2001 ...at that time i didnt know anything about camaros....actually used to hate them. personally once i started following the f-body scene i fell head over heels in love with the 98+ WS6...unfortunately i couldnt find a single one i could even remotely afford....now, after almost a year of owning my Z, i like the simplicity of the 98+ camaros...especially the Z28s.
dont even tell me this doesn't look intimidating...

The first time I saw a 98 TA was in Motor Trend I think. It was a white m6 with a cloth interior with the 17" wheels(must have been a preproduction model) It always took me some time to appreciate the new models since I was a kid. I wasn't sure about the honeycomb lights cuz they did away with the red reflector stripe on them that was around since 79. Didn't like the fact that there were no creases on the hood. Then I saw the WS6 commercials and magazine ads and that was too much for me to handle. Every time I start my car I can hear in my head " The muscle car lives". I just thought the car looks so evil it would scare the crap outta every other car on the road.

I wish I could buy a brand new WS6 with rappings still on it.i got mine with 8K miles on it which im not complaining. I just wish I could have had it with fresh paint, seats, etc. I rememeber everyone always said "They have a Corvette engine" which yes the corvette had it first but now i dont picture the C5 any different from the Camaros and TAs. Just the looks, price, 2 seater, etc. I love the looks of the vette but man im in love with passing by a WS6 on the other side of the why when they sun is reflecting off of it. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
