Default oil pressure.
I just noticed it today. The engine has 83,000 miles on it at idle it has 40lbs of pressure at idle, the other day it was around 60 what is going on ?

40 psi at warmed up idle is good.

Maybe you saw 60 psi at cold startup idle...?

That sounds about right My car is a little above 60psi when cold, and a little above 40psi when fully warmed up.

Mines just a little below 40 warm and 60ish cold.
