i just wired a second fuel pump for my trans am this weekend actually...this is a good basic diagram to go off of to give you and idea on where each wire needs to go...

and for terminal 86, i personally used a hobbs switch to turn my pump on when i hit 2 psi boost...i dont know the situation you have for a signal wire...but im sure you can use your signal wire from your pcm to turn your relay on, so itll power your pump.

I just wired an Aeromotive pump in my Buick Sunday. Just like the diagram above. I left the center one alone. Works like a champ.

10gauge for the pump neg.
10gauge for the pump pos.(to relay pin 87) through the relay and then 10gauge to the alternator charge stud (from relay pin 30)
the relay ground can be 16 or 18gauge(relay pin 85) and so can the fuel pump power wire(relay pin 86)

the 10gauge is highly recommended for the right amount of current draw for the pump to perform best.
