Never understood why people want to make the gas door stand out and be seen. External gas caps maybe, but the door?

I guess the appeal goes back to the grand-am race days in the 60's with the quick flip acces door like you find on the orignial ac cobras. They were revived when the vipers were launched, and I think they look good. But I like the idea of hiding it better.
