Default Custom headers?

I can't seem to find long tube headers for my '65 Impala 5.3 swap. Am I totally nuts thinking I can just weld up an LS flange to a set of SBC headers that I know will fit in the car?

You would need to modify the primaries where they go into the flange due to the different spacing of the SBC to the LS series.

yeah I know it won't just line up perfectly, but I was hoping it was close enough that I could bend and twist things into position

Or shorty fbody headers or even fbody manifolds for now.
