5.3 RX7 No oil pressure any thoughts?

Default 5.3 RX7 No oil pressure any thoughts?

im building an 86 FC rx7 with a 5.3 and t56. recently primed the oiling system with a pressure bleeder but still dont get oil pressure when i run the engine, anyone have some suggestions?

have you verified its not pumping oil either via a mechanical gauge or atleast by looking at the rockers and too see if the oil is coming up the pushrods?

im going to buy a mechanical gauge but as of now the oil pressure sender is hooked up to the factory mazda gauge and doesnt read anything and i also have checked the rockers multiple times to find they are dry

Could be your o ring on the pick-up tube. Many people have had this problem if not assembled correctly. I would pull the motor out and check it, or if you can drop the oil pan and front cover. I know this may not work as I have a 91 RX7 with an LQ-4

Im almost positive i installed the o ring right i did it while the engine was upside down on an engine stand, because i knew the oring can cause so much trouble if installed wrong
