prolly stupid question
what is the module right above the battery and next to the ac canister? i know one cable leads to the tb but where else does it lead? ive seen engine bays without it and it looks a lot better, id like to get rid of mine as well. Any help would be appreciated thanks

In my opinion, taking it out may not be a good option.
Just buy a shiny new cover for it or something, ..., Or paint it to match so it blends in with the rest if your car is not black.
If you remove it, ..., I'd have to guess there has to be some electronics involved that would need to be corrected in some manner. No?

Best option is to relocate it OP, lots of people do it and it looks better indeed.
It is complicated to remove it because it is cruise control as well, if you do take it out i think you need to replace the line but you loose cc also.

OP: You have to get non-TCS throttle and cruise control cables. You will get a TCS light once you remove the box, but there are methods of turning that off.

To be honest, I've never payed much attention to how it's set up on my car. The only things I'm currently aware of are that I don't have a TCS box where it's supposed to be (it was like that when I bought the car). And I have a TCS switch that isn't functional. I'll take a closer look at it when I get home.
Edit: Here's a write up I found on relocating the TCS to behind the PCM.
