Mast has discontinued med bore LXR heads, does anybody still carry them?
I have a boosted setup that I am putting together with a 4.00 bore LQ9 block and I also have a rectangular port sheetmetal intake that was designed for c5r heads. I know the LS7 head was derived from the c5r head and I figure I can modify this intake, but thats besides the point. I am looking for an LS7 head that is capable of being bolted to a 4.00 bore. I know PRC has theirs but I'm trying to see if there is another head out there before getting the PRC small bore LS7's. I knew about the LXR heads but I also knew that Cary @ Mast stopped making them. So does anybody still sell them even though Mast stopped making the them?

Texas Speed/PRC has a bunch of options and some medium bore PRC castings.

They are a new head this year I havent seen much out there on them only in the new GM performance catalog. The LSX L92 head is designed for the 3.890 bore so I thought it might be worth a phone call on the LSX LS7 in hopes that they are designed for a 4.00 bore. They are $1475 for a assembled cnc'd head that flows 397cfm.

Why did Mast stop making this head? What's the part # of this head? Any other heads they quit making?
The reason I'm asking, they were big on selling me the Med Bore Rectangular Head, but I went with there Med Bore Cathedral Head.
I just got my new GM High-Tech Mag the other day and they had a head to head test
with the Mast 245 med bore cathedral vs the Mast 256 med bore rectangular.
With the supporting cams for each heads. The results were equal up to .700 lift.
The 245 made 335 cfm at .600 lift and the 256 made 360 cfm at .600 lift. That goes to show, that flow numbers are just flow numbers. Just because one head out flows another one doesn't mean that it will make more hp. But you want a good flowing head. It's all in the combo.
Give Mast a call.

Thanks, I'll check with them.
P.S. It's your old intake I'm trying to match up.
