Default Truck intake

I've been searching high and low for an intake that looks good, is affordable and works with truck accessories. The FAST LSX-RT intake is awsome, but $1000, come on... I think someone should come up with plastic spacers for ls1 intake to raise it up so the TB will clear or make a stock style intake and keep the price $200-$250. I guess they think we are made of money.

So you're just looking for a prettier truck manifold without going broke?

I've played around with the idea of grinding down the ribs on my TBSS intake manifold. I guess if I ever get to a dyno, I'll see if it's worth keeping!

LS1intake clears the truck accessories with a few mods.

Speartech had a mod that allows the car intake with truck accessories. Not sure if he is selling them these days or not. Worth a call to him.

Yeah I know about the idler relocator and changing the water pump. I just don't have all the funds for that right now. Water pumps are pricey. I started grinding on a truck intake, still looks like *** though.

Idler relocation cost $5, a bolt and spacer.
Depending on the TB, you might be able to use the truck pump. Or I got an ebay f body pump for $80.
