Default Trans Dapt 4595 plates on G Body Ls1 swap

OK so i went ahead and bought the Trans Dapt 4595 1in setback plates for my G body LS1 swap... on the left side they fit OK using my stock clamshells but on the right the clamshell need some washers to sit right with the plate, BUT the plate won't bolt on right because it hits the alternator. So here is what I'm working with:
99 LS1 out of a Firebird Formula T.A.
CTS-V oil pan
F body cats and manifolds for now..
Gbody non a/c heater box but i do plan on installing a/c in the near future..
I need to know what plates work so i can return them to Summit ASAP or if i have to find a alternator relocation bracket. I was under the impression that any F body LS1 would bolt in hassle free... any suggestions? Please help! I am on a mission to get it installed before the end of the month so i can get the wiring harness done..Do i need to pick up other parts??

I don't think the f-body accessories will work..you have to move the alternator to the top. Most people doing a gbody swap use either truck accessories or ctsv, I believe I saw a guy use Corvette accessories also. The 4595 kit should work tho

I d have to check the number, but prett sure the 1 in is what I have, I had the same issue and ended up getting solid motor and frame mounts and still had a little issue. Pretty sure the f body stuff still clears.. roller406bu is using the alt mount on his 6.0 im pretty certain..

i went through a few build threads and for the majority they were used often, But some used the truck accessory drive... I will try to post pics of the issues i'm having soon. i was kind of hoping it would be a bolt in deal seeing as i haven't picked up a welder and REALLy wanted to get everything mocked up and get my harness done etc etc. So who is running the f body LS1 drive and what was needed to get them in right. I was kinda not wanting to get the BRP kit but if i can't figure this out it's gonna set me back quite a bit...lol! Also the BRP kit is designed to be used with the Lh8 oil pan, if i get the kit would it work ok with the CTS-V oil pan? Thanks in advance!

I'd be interested to know if anyone has one of these kits? The P/S pump and alternator don't look well supported. Are there rear brackets or anything not shown in the picture?

Does it sit on the lower left side? my stock clamshell/Trans Dapt 4595 plate combo hit the black plastic "cooling" part on the rear of my alt. I took off the alt and the plate seemed to fit ok on the left side and the right side seems to work ok too... Haven't made sure it works though, SO i think i found the Speedway Motor brackets that look that they would work. If anybody has this kit how does it fit? If not, if you have a LS1 swap, What's the space between your TB and hood?

I have the normal Plates you see everywhere...no "setback" or anything..there is a good bit of clearance between the Clamshell and the Alternator.

I have a different Intake setup, but when I did have a Polymer Intake the TB clearance was fine.

How much clearance do you have with your new setup? I'm thinking of going carb'd on my Buick instead of tracking down all the right EFI parts. I know yours is still EFI, but it looks like everything is still about the same size and clears alright?

It all fits under the stock Hood, but I think the Throttle Body is shorter in height than a typical Carb.

I'm going to install the 4595 plates and stock clam shells, install the hood and measure the hood clearance this weekend, if it looks like it would work then I'm ordering the relocation bracket... will keep you posted.

Any update on the fit?
I'm also very interesed if you snapped any pics of the cts-v pan with the 4595 plates. As of now i'm planning on using the truck accessories, so for me its a balance of keeping the pan up high while keeping the alternator under a stock hood.

I hate to be the first to pull a thread jack, buuuttt....

Merv i'm sure it was discussed in you build thread, but can you remind me real quick if you had to bend the ls1 rails to clear the heat sink coils.

Here are some pics of the 4595 plates with the CTS-V oil pan... Plenty of clearance between the oil pan and crossmember..

clearance between the heater box and valve cover:

Only issue i had was the alternator it doesn't clear the swap plates! I am planning on the speedway motors ls1 high alt mount kit. Or a Vette drive...BTW i'm using stock f Body cats as well...

Mine is different up top since im keeping my a/c. DD and Texas heat. Got to have a/c bro. I'll be using the s10 a/c bracketto run a high mount a/c
How much does that pan drop below the crossmember?
How much space between the TB and hood?

I also have a a/c box that will go in later as soon as i get the rest of the parts required.. as for the oil pan it's about a 1 below but haven't really measured as it doesn't hang too low. TB to hood clearance is 3.5in so looks like the speedway alt relocation kit will work! Am going to pull the engine again and order some stock mount plate now test fitted the stock f body cats and the passenger side hits the floorboard...
