Tick in pass head area
Alright I have a LS1 with a redline wiring harness and Mefi 4a computer. Stock motor bought used, recently started the motor for the first time by me in 15 months and now I am hearing a valve tick in the passenger valve cover area. I can hear it predominately in the valve cover, barely can hear it in the actual head when using a stethoscope. Head seems to be getting oiled, oil level is full. I have read you cannot adjust the valves other then checking the torque (22 lbs) is this something that can be adjusted or?
Basically I am stuck as I have been working on the car for 15 months and now this. Mostly worked on toyota v6 and 4cly before this v8.
Car has maybe two minutes of run time since I bought the motor. Brand new platinum plugs, MSD wires, oil, water, ect.

I more then likely posted this in the wrong area, could the mods move to the correct section.
Read numerous threads from it seems normal to people changing the whole head out.
Heard I might be able to spray carb cleaner down the push rod and this might help free up if there is something in the lifter blocking the passage way. Good idea to start this direction and maybe a quart of marvel mystery oil?
Going to try and possibly free the lifters on the pass side tonight and see what I can do. Guess if I can't get it to go away it is time to buy lifters, cam, and all the bs. Just got the motor running and wasn't expecting this. Guess I won't be making my thursday dyno appointment...
