NEED an opinion on this quick
am looking to keep the Z streetable, but want a little bit of lope to her. She now has the stock 2001 LS1 CAM in it. Would upgrading to the 2002 LS6 CAM sound / act much better than what I have now? specifics on the 2002 LS6 CAM here:
204/218 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.551" / 0.547" int/exh lift
117 LSA
204/218 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.551" / 0.547" int/exh lift
117 LSA

The Z06 cam will pull better up top, I have heard a couple of them in person and they sounded exactly like the stock cam to me. Plan on doing a valvespring swap, your stock springs won't support that cam. And you'll need to raise your rev limit to take full advantage of it.

Go with like a 224/224 and tuning. Its perfectly streetable, and you will still enjoy driving the car everyday. Also..there is no lope to the stock z06 cam..atleast I don't hear much when I listen to my friends z06 idle.

streetable is in the mind of the beholder or something like that
My car has a 232/240 593/603 112 cam in it and it's streetable... never dies on me, holds an idle etc...
As mentioned... if you're going to go through the work of putting a cam in might as well go bigger...
I used to run a TR224 and loved... but some recent upgrades required me go w/a bigger cam...

I agree with the 220-224 range. I would keep it in the 114 lsa as it would idle better for an A4.
You could also check out an MTI Stealth cam. They have 2 grinds.

get a little cam, like the 231/237 .598/.595 @ 112*, perfect little cam for an Auto, you can hear a little lope if you put your ear down there And it pulls a little better than stock.
Ok, seriously now. I am looking at going to something more like the 02 LS6 cam myself. Maybe I will come up with a custom grind. Something like 220/216 .570/.570 116*lsa. Good cam for NA favoring our poor I:E ratio, and should even out good with a nitrous application.
Good luck in your search for camhappiness.
