Default When a Honda technician has 1976 Impala lowrider wants an LS swap.....

I have found my way here. I think I will be spending most of my time in the Conversions & Hybrids section. I hope I can get this thing done soon and post pics along the way

Ok here is what I have so far.......

you can see it's a 5.3L

casting numbers on the heads

not the prettiest thing in the world......yet

ecu

DBW set up

Holley oil pan 302-1

intake manifold was told it came from a Vette but IDK

just incase some DBC throttle bodies

my trans

4L60E

this will be it's future home.....I always left it bone stock under the hood because for as long as I have owned this car a fuel injected engine has always been the plan so, I never did anything to this one because I figure it would just come back out.

I don't have a problem asking questions, I am here to learn and show my progress. My intention is to install this engine and keep my anolog speedometer, convert to r134a and use a VIR eliminator. I still will leave the evaporator box under the hood a underdash unit is a little out of my range. I will be adding a serpentine belt pulley system as well

places I know I will need help is with a harness and ecu program the right headers and trans crossmember and no telling where else lol.

Very nice ride! Simple, clean and original. It's hard to find rides like that anymore, everyone wants to be seen with flashy crap on their cars. Nice to see some people respect the origins of low riding. Good luck on the swap.

Thanks, I made sure my ride is tip top and done with quality and class so when someone who is either unfamilur or thinks all lowriders are junk cars they can walk away with maybe a new outlook...
