Just got a 2000 TA and forward dash is cracked. Saw aftermarket cap for $100. Does anyone know how they fit, look installed. I am afraid to buy new gm at 300 for install difficulty and it may crack also

There's a good thread on how to repair your original cracked dash cap for 20 bucks or so using epoxy or some kind of glue to hold the backing on, then you can just get it wrapped in whatever cloth or vinyl you want or could try plastic dip as a covering...don't remember seeing if that had been done before, depending on if you keep her in the garage or not will probably determine how long the repair would last, I did mine in marine suede off eBay and its holding up pretty good, just collects dust really easily.

The install is VERY easy...and it would probably last way longer than you will own the car. Keep in mind all of them are a least 10 years old now. If the car is nice I would go with a OEM one.

The 6le cover looks like it fits nice. I think I would wrap it in something though cause it looks super shiney.
