Default Picking up my LQ9 tomorrow... How do I get the old engine out?

Looking forward to doing my first LS engine swap. What's the best way to pull out the old engine? Drop it down or pull it up?

if the engine doesn't have any accessories or headers on it, i'd pull it from the top..if it does have have accessores and headers on it already, pull it from the bottom. Both are extremely easy to do if you ask me. just be careful. don't drop a car or engine on yourself.

Drop it out of the bottom for sure, didn't take too long.

It does have AC and headers.. Both of which will be going back in. However I will be pulling the heads, intake, and taking the cam out while the engine is in the car. I'll be putting that all on the LQ9 before putting the engine back in. I do not have a hoist at home but my buddy has one at his shop. I was thinking of pulling the transmission with the engine.. It seems easier?? Ideas?
