98z vs Gallardo
So I was on my way back from the movies with my buddy(trying to take it easy because I'm selling the car) when he spots a lamborghini in the opposite lane, headin back toward the freeway we had just got off of. Needless to say, I flipped a bitch. Get up on him and it's a white Gallardo convertible. I was in 4th, at about 70mph. I hate taking the hit, so I waited on him. He smacked it and I followed suit. He instantly took his rear bumper to my front tire. I started gaining on him, but didn't have time to pass before I geared out 4th at about 120. He shut down once he realize I was at his door anyway. I wasn't gaining fast, but I was gaining on a "supercar". Pretty good feeling.

Haha I figured the haters would show up first. I'm in San Diego, there's money around here, and I happened to run into some of it. I never said I walked all over the guy, but I was starting to gain on him. Granted if we had kept going I would've lost the advantage of my 4.11s because I would have had to put it in 5th and he would've walked away from me.

Read again. Not bolt ons. H/C, a very well matched setup at that, and a good tune. Previous owner had the car 11.6 with traction issues, so in the power band and with no traction issues I don't see where the mystery is. I didn't think I'd hold up as well as I did, but I did. Why would I have any reason to come back to my barracks room at 1am and post a lie? Look at my previous posts. This is probably what, my 10th in like 5 years? Believe it if you want. If not, do me a favor and quit trolling.

I'll even go as far to say hey, maybe he wasn't in it all the way. But that thing sure sounded loud as p!$$ when his exhaust was next to my window. I have no reason to lie. It honestly sounds like you're a little bitter. The only vehicle in your sig is a truck. Does somebody miss their car?
FWIW, as long as we're raising BS flags, a college age kid from Iowa driving a Gallardo, or even getting a ride in one? Maybe, but I think it's much less likely than a built LS1 car hanging with a Gallardo.

As far as the Iowa kid driving a Gallardo, my dad's boss (CEO of bank he is CFO of) owns a few Lamborghinis. He has an Aventador on order, has a 2011 Gallardo Superleggera (the one that I drove) and his wife has a white 2010 LP560-4 Spyder - I prefer the one I drove. That e-gear transmission is nasty. I now know why he loves them and I do as well, but with the nearest dealership being 3 hours for service, I'd be a bit worried.
Just because someone is from Iowa does not mean they live on a farm

I stand corrected on the driving the lambo thing.
Maybe I should have been in third. My shift light comes on around 115 and I hit the rev limiter at like 120 I think? Also, I didn't look at the speedo before he nailed it. For all I know we could have been closer to 75-80. I was in the power band in 4th, but yes I would have had better throttle response in third. Only thing is I probably would have had to shift right away. Between being so pumped just to play with a car like that and not knowing whether or not he was going to bite, I honestly didn't think about it.
I don't know what the car traps at. I've never had her to the track myself and don't have a time slip handy right now. I want to say 122 but don't quote me.

The body shop I work in is the certified Lamborghini, Ferrari and Aston Martin body shop in Atlanta. Needless to say I get to see a ton of cool *** cars. I'll take some pictures and post them up some time
