Let's play "Guess what that is that I found in my oil pan"
So I blew up my motor back in January.... cracked the ring land on #7 blah blah blah, and the new motor is almost done so I was cleaning up my oil pan. Removed the baffle and there was a little bit of sludge in the front, not much, about an 1/8 inch or less, not bad for a motor with 65,000 miles on it. As I'm cleaning it out, I discover a little peice of metal, non magnetic, sitting in the sludge.
Cleaned it off and sure enough it's a tiny c-clip. Here it is next to the baffle bolt for size reference.
I have no clue what it goes to. No it's not needle bearings.

I'll check all of my lifters, but not sure where it would come from on the lifter. The lifters I took out of this motor were new ones put in about 3,000 miles ago when I put on the Performance Induction heads. So who knows how long this has been in the pan.

Glad i pulled a double take and saw it wasnt what I thought originally lol. Quick glance almost reminded me of the C clip in the comp trunion upgrade kit. Hmm...dont think Ive ever seen that part of a lifter?
