I just finished up a build for Gforce here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TorVWJWyTPs&feature=player_embedded
The PRC LS7's worked great like always.

How far off is the lsx-dr from fitting the ls7 head ports?

Left to right the port placement is perfect. Its the up and down where the problem lies. You are dealing with a manifold that was made for a head with a raise port. We fired the car up around 1am Friday and won 2 class Sat. Not to bad for a break in tune!

What was the solution, epoxying one side and shaving the other?

mill the intake flange until it lowers the intake ports to match the heads, or cut the flanges off and fab and weld new flanges

I remember talking with you and your buddies down at the Texas Motorplex at PINKS ALL OUT a few years ago. Glad to see you wrenching on the side, too. Engine sounds good.
How big is the motor and bore / stroke combo?
Take care. Dave

Thanks guys, the engine specs are being held close to the vest until we break the GTO IRS LSx records. We are going to have to come back down to TX to play again, do you have any good races coming up?

Took it out last weekend and went 10.23 @ 133 mph n/a, had a few tuning issues and other issues. Was good enough to take the win in a couple of shootout classes though :)
Should have it worked out for test and tune this Friday for some 9 second n/a passes.
Im very happy with this engine, it's a beast!
Thanks
Chris

Are you still using the standard GTO oil pan setup?

Yes, factory gto oil pan with a nice oil pan spacer chris @ gforce and my self came up with. These will be for sale if there is enough people want them. It would work on a fbody pan also, and be able to clear upto a 4.250 stroke with a stock pan.

If ya'll ever decide to go EFI with that car I have a nice sheetmetal intake that I am letting go for cheap. Made for C5R heads but can be modified to fit LS7 heads.
