Im tring to decide between swapping from my 4l60e to a 4l80e or a th350/400. I have heard the 4l80e doesn't fit well in a foxbody. is this true? How hard is it to get the 4l80e to fit? my 4l60e fits great with my custom trans mount. im upgradeing on the motor and looking to go to a stronger transmission set up.

I'm in the process of swapping to a 4l80 in my 95 GT. It fit but its much tighter than the 4L60. The tunnel is going to have to be "massaged" to give the round electrical connector enough clearance but that looks like the only real issue.

Also looking at this. Bought an 80e for 100 bucks. Cant find a good 4L60e cheap.

I have a 4l80e in my 92. list boostnut said, all you have to do it beat in the tunnel a little to clearance for the plug. Check out the link in my sig.
