Default Adding houndstooth inserts to factory seats?

Ok so I don't want to spend the money for complete new seat covers, but I want houndstooth inserts. Has anyone added inserts to their factory seats? I assume the seat covers have to be removed or can it be done with them still on the seats? How hard is it to do?

I've been wanting the same thing and all but one local upholstery shop said I'd be cheaper buying a kit from 6LE or Hawks. They couldn't touch the price of a mass produced kit, even with just adding inserts. The cheapest I found was $500, but that was recovering my front two and adding inserts to all 4.

These are the stock seats with our (6LE) inserts installed. Yes the cover has to come off, and you're better off with a whole seat cover if you're going through all the work. Basically you take for covers off, go to a shop to have the centers removed and the new ones sewn in (with additional foam under the insert), then you put the covers back on. Thats basically it.

And yes, we sell the inserts for the fronts and backs seperetely.
