Just shipped a CM 6pt to Alabama... total shipping weight was 45 pounds. The same thing in MS will be about 62 pounds.
1.75 x.083 is 1.478 lb/foot
1.75 x .120 is 2.089 lb/foot
chromoly and 1020 DOM mild steel(we don't use the cheap ERW the other guys do) are the exact same weight by volume.
our bar and cage kits are guaranteed to pass NHRA cert upon correct install procedures.

Paying the extra $200 or whatever for chromoly is the best money you'll spend. After you put in that mild steel cage, try getting 30lbs out of your car for the same kind of money, lol.

For a big piece that uses a lot of tubes, yes, there is a decent difference in weight. For torque arms, k-members, and panhard bars, go with chromoly. For a-arms, especially uppers, the $150 price difference isn't worth the 1-2lbs you'll save.

If you were to order a 6 point bolt in, does the rear 4 point part of it come assembled. It would be sweet if you had the swing out option and basically had to just connect the dots. I dont have the right stuff for welding CM but want it for the weight savings as I bought all my rear suspension in CM. After seeing how light my TA and PHB were compared to another steel TA I was very impressed.

My chromoly will be here in a couple days. Anyone have exact dimensions or lengths before bending? I'm doing a 6 point in my f-body. Joelster?? Anyone? I will probably measure studderins first but just wondering......
