Default Radiator for Lt1

I am installing a 96 carberated Lt1 in my 67 chevy pickup....my first experience with this kind of cooling system and I am wondering if I can use my stock radiator or if I will need a new one?
If I can use the stock one (4 row) which way do I need to hook the hoses up?
I have an after market surge can that I was going to run the steam hose into...
Thanks....this forum has been super helpful but I haven't found the answer to this question yet

The steam line must remain attached to the rad, otherwise you will empty the entire system .. Coolant constantly flows thru the steam pipes..

The t-stat housing is the high connection to the rad and the other is the low connection.. The two stainless pipes on the passenger side of the Water pump are provisions for heater core ..(feed and return) the others can be blocked off.

I would say use the lt1 radiator, ALOT easier to mount a new radiator than change the cooling system. Every hose has a purpose and there are a few of them too.

Definitely use the LT1 radiator. It's pretty beefy.

Awesome....Needing the steam line return to the rad makes perfect sense and I will look for a Lt1 rad and see what I can find

I used the LT1 radiator when I swapped my 72' C10, worked fine, you just have to redrill the upper and lower holes because the radiator is narrower than the stock truck radiator. If you are using an automatic trans I would highly recommend an auxiliary trans cooler as well. The LT1 radiator cooler isnt large enough for our heavy trucks, especially while towing. I saw 210-220* when towing after a good B&M cooler was added (700R4).
