Cool My 228/232 cam dyno video!! Finally

Ever since the install this cam has been a complete pain in the ***! Lifter fell in so heads came off, cam went in, torque to yeild head bolts are dumb then the stock pulley would not go on with any installer (tried all tricks), ordered underdrive then ran into a valvetrain problem; replaced lifters pushrods AND head bolts again!!! Got it back and running and it has somewhat low oil pressure. But after all the headaches she did what I wanted .

So here it is:

She made 400.50rwhp/372.48rwtq
Peak hp at 6300rpm and peak Tq @ 4500 rpm

Mods:
SLP air lid w/ k & n filter
Texas speed 1 7/8" ceramic longtubes
Custom true dual exhaust w/ magnaflow "bullet style" mufflers
Custom comp cam 228/232 .588 .595 112 Lsa
Prc .675" lift double valve springs
Ls7 lifters
Powerbond 25% underdrive pulley

Is this cam only?? If not, what heads are you running? Sounds good and nice numbers. Plan on running it at the track?

So how did the lifter fall? Did you not use the rod method or did you use it and it still fell? This worries the **** out of me lol

Well when we pulled the heads and examined the trays they weren't very strong
I replaced them with ls2 trays and it was a huge step up in strength (at least from my old trays, no idea why they were so worn)

The lifter didnt fall right away btw, we tried the magnet trick and what happened was the only magnet to fit was super cheap and the rod it was attached to stayed in the lifter hole when we tried to pull it out.

That's sweet! I think I'm going to go a tad bigger and go with the torquer v2

The shocking part is that it made the power here in colorado! Were 5800 ft above sea level

Is the 400.5 HP not a corrected value? I believe it is. You would only have to make about 325 actual HP, to give you a corrected value of 400 at your altitude.

No It is uncorrected, are you saying you believe a cammed ls1 would only make 325hp?

Those magnaflow bullets put in a lot of work. Theyre only two 14x 4 bullet style mufflers on there. No cats... You can look straight though them like a pipe
