Default Brake Fluid Change

I was thinking about doing a flush on the brake system. I was wondering what DOT fluid I have to use. Is DOT 4 ok or what should it be?

Dot 3 should have been standard. Dot 4 will be an upgrade higher boiling point.

Dot 5 should never be used in a car with ABS

Dot 5 should not be used on pretty much any car. As it is desgined for motorcycles and uses silicone as opposed to glycol.
Dot 5.1 is compatible with cars. As it is glycol.

The owners manual states:

"DelcoŽ Supreme 11 Brake Fluid or equivalent DOT-3 brake fluid"
.

Hope this helps.
