I dont know if your a ls1 or 2 but if the block is still good and your ls2 i would just rebuild it and swap a ls3 top end on with a cam and be at the same power lever for less money.

thats a good ls3, thats what I really want buy the ls3 and have it bored to a 417ci, be a monster GOAT4LIFE.Its not the complete engine, but you could start building it on your own,if you do not mind taking the time. I know you need it ASAP though, good luck man.

You could always get a cheap 5.3 or 6.0 and then have some fun.

How did the engine blow?
Is there any way to prove it was there tune / install ? ?
Did you sign a labor waiver saying they're not responsible for any damages caused by the parts they installed?
Did you buy the turbo off ebay?

How did the engine blow? a rod? seals? a shaft?

Hell yeah, throw a 408 in there! That would be sweet, I've only seen one GTO in person with a 408 in it.

I agree with 409.......salvage what you can, build for boost spend the rest on a solid tune just my opinion.

What did you "blow" on it?

Blew holes into the block, blew a piston up?

I have a 408 aluminum ls2 and love it. If I could do it over again I would definitely go iron though.

An lq9 is a great foundation to start with when your running boost.

I have a rearmount kit for sale btw.

6 months after the fact on a modded muscle car I think any shop would have a hard time standing behind that. FI puts a lot of stress on stuff especially when a driver enjoys it. How did you determine it was the tune?
