Default I'm having boost issues

Hey guys I need your help here. I'm having an issue with high boost. My set up is a lq4,ls6 cam, fast 78, front mount turbo set up with a tial 50mm BOV and tial 38mm waste gate and with a turbonetics t76 with .96ar. I had this thing a the dyno and had a 12lb spring in the WG by 4000 rpm it ramped up all the way to 18#'s it made 658ftlb at 3400 rpm lol. I had have a hallman pro manual boost controller and still didnt bring the boost down. I now have a 7#spring and seems to be wanting to go past 10#'s @3300rpm what can I do to keep this on check. I want to run max of 14#'s. Thanks

Sounds like wastegate placement isn't placed in the best place.
Got any pics of the wastegate placement?

I'll will try and add some pics tomorrow... I'm running a hallman pro manual boost controller. I was just reading the installation instructions from hallman and it's say to leave the top port of the waste gate vented but the tial site say to use the top port if running a boost controller. I'm using the top port to the boost controller.

On my mbc which is two ports like yours I referance from the compressor cover to the lower port off the gate with a tee in line going to my mbc then to the top port of the wg. Also just because its a #7 spring dosent mean it will be #7.backpressure plays a role in that.my car with the #9 spring only made #4 & on the #15 spring only made #9.what wastegate are you running as well? Sounds like the spring is too stiff , you dont have a good refrance, valves sticking in the gate, or just bad placement

A boost controller can only raise the boost...not lower it

I always just hook to the side port and leave the top open when using a halman.

That's what I was reading... To leave the top port of the waste gate open when using a hallman. I'm going to try that after work. Since I was using the the compressor as my source tied into the side port of the gate goingt to the mbc then the top port of the gate going to the other barb of the mbc
