Default Charged Air 15psi Dyno results....

Hey, everyone its Angelo here. Just got home from my shop a little while ago. Running off the gates (12psi) car made 621rwhp,600rwtq. A/F was pretty much off the charts until 5200rpms where it peaked to 11.5 at 6300rpms. After figuring out I had the turbo x/s boost controller on backwards Tony and I saw 15psi and the car made 672rwhp,681rwtq. A/F was 10.0-10.8 all the way to 5200rpms where it climbed to 11.7 at 6200 rpms. From 4100 to 5900 car is making over 620rwtq, peaking at 5100(681). Dear god this is unreal. If I had a scanner I would post this graph but I will find one next week. Stock bottom end, TR224,112LSA cam, Absolute Speed casting 317 6.0l heads. 42lb injectors, cas rising rate regulator. Huge thanks to Tony D. for all his efforts with this car. Runs were made on 100oct from the pump at Clark station. 14deg of timing, f/p at wot 72psi. I am waiting for an alchy kit and then I will re-tune on 93 pump gas. Then its off to the track for low 10's maybe..............9's........with a 2 step? Happy Easter..........or Passover..............Angelo

Thanks guys. Graph will be scanned and up late tomorrow night. This was through a Strange 12 bolt, 27in Hoosiers, Bogart 10in wheels, Spec 3 ceramic, stock T-56. Dyno was covered in rubber little piles after I unstrapped it and saw the aftermath. LOL

if you had a cam with a higher lsa you would make more power. good number nevertheless.

anyone want to take a bet to see how long the stock bottom end holds up?

Ever stop to think the reason my car is still "running", may have to do with the overlap and blowing off boost, keeping cylinder pressure and temperature down. Or, not having to spin the engine to the moon to run the times this car, has, or is capable of? I will be shifting at 6k at the track. Owning a Dynojet has also helped.

Congrats on the results

And FWIW, it would -not- make more power with a wider lsa.

I've heard there's some benifit to running the narrower LSA. But does it really help? Those are some great numbers though so obviously it works. Keep up the good work.

My new cam is a 114 lsa
not sure if it was that or the fresh motor that got me more power. maybe a mix of all the above.

Brad, last I read your car was not doing very well. Not holding boost and your new engine did not produce any more power. Your post has been deleted which stated this? What is going on? I had Kinkos scan my graph last night and they sent me home with an unformatted disk. Wait till you see the area under the curve. Must be those huge exhaust wheels.

I had a bum turbo. i sent it out to get redone, hope to have it back wednesday and back together. I dont remember posting it wasnt doing good. I made about 80 more hp with the new set up then boost fell to 9 psi and power levled out. till then i was a lot stronger and spool time was GREAT. so fast it was almost not there!
I made almost 600 and 600 rwtq with same boost as last year and a turbo that was in BAD shape.
hope to be able to crank it to 12 psi and have it hold. if i do i should make easy 600 600 with a very safe tune.
then get some passes in with the new motor and suspention set up and go a little more boost.
My new engine runs like a top Knock on wood.
How was you controler hooked up? I run the xs and i have the problem with only getting 12 psi as well. maybe mine is backwards to?
