Went to mexico today and met up with a buddy of mine who has a 99 Camaro SS with bolt-ons, exhaust, intake, cam, 4.10 gears and a tune. We decided to do a friendly race to see where exactly I stand against a 400 RWHP Manual LS1 with gears...Here is the end result:
We are both starting in 1st gear at 20 mph. His gears eat me up right off the bat but you see me start pulling hard. I have stock 3.42 gears so I cross the traps almost half way through 4th gear. You see e shift into 3rd and start walking away......then hear him miss 4th lol. WHOOPS. He was afraid something was wrong with his tranny and didnt want to race again. We are friends so no shit talking here, just a friendly run. Here are 2 videos...one from my car and one from his car.

The second race I got called out by a 2004 Mustang Cobra. He is supercharged and pullied and has a couple of bolt-ons and gears with a tune. We started out at 35 mph and he got a slight jump on me off the launch because I couldn't hear the guy when he said to go lol, so he gets out on me through 1st and 2nd, but I start reeling him in through 3rd and as I said above, I cross the traps in 4th...as I pass him the cameraman is looking at the Cobra's speedometer, but he looks up right when I hit 120 and shut it down and you can see where I was. I don't know how many lbs of boost he is running, or how much HP he has...no clue at all.
