Default EGR air leak help

How's it going i have a 2000 SS Camaro and my EGR tube going into my intake is leaking... How can i fix this? Should i just delete the EGR? If so how hard and what do i need to do to delete it? It's also throwing a check engine light saying system to lean. (bank 1) before my EGR started leaking it threw a sytem to lean (bank 2) That code is no longer there.... Would we be the cause? please help this is starting to get very fustrating. Thank you in advance.

You can delete the EGR with a small frost plug.
